Yes! We recommend shaving 24-36 hours before coming in for your laser hair reduction session for optimal results.

Everyone is different, but most patients report little or no pain. Numbing agents are available upon request.

Hair grows in cycles, meaning that at any one point in time not all your hair follicles are actively undergoing growth. We recommend spacing your treatments 4-6 weeks apart to target hair during its turnover period.

Youthology strongly recommends everyone to use sunscreen of SPF 30+, especially the two weeks after treatment. Avoid irritating the skin by scrubbing, exfoliating, or taking hot showers 24 hours after treatment. 

Patients typically report some redness and swelling lasting a few hours after treatment. In rare cases, discomfort or small, red bumps may last up to 48 hours. Most pain can be alleviated with aloe vera gel. If other symptoms arise, contact our office. 

Patients may not receive laser treatments within six months of taking Accutane or one to two weeks of taking antibiotics.
